Garlic For Hypertension

Garlic utilized many for everyday cookery. Besides for the cookery of, famous garlic also as herb to various disease type that is : Hypertension, cough, headache, hepatitis; ambeien, bruise, abses; and insomnia. For hypertension :

Mengkudu For Hypertension

Mengkudu (Morinda Citrifolia) is Indonesian original plant. Grow in 1500 metre of sea level. Fruit mengkudu contains : morinda diol, morindone, morindin, damnacanthal, methyl asetil, acid kapril and sorandiyiol. Hypertension Diet

We have to change what do we eat during the time, especially in usage of salt. Cutting down on salt really does help you to reduce hypertension. One big change in your diet, which you can make, is to reduce your salt intake.

Reduce the consumption of processed foods which are high in salt such as:
  • Processed Meat
  • Breakfast Cereals
  • Bread
  • Salty snacks
  • Cheese
  • Pickled Foods
  • Salted Nuts
  • Smoked Foods
Potassium helps your body to be balanced against the negative aspects of salt is by consuming fruit and vegetables which are high in potassium, such as:
  • Potatoes
  • Citrus Fruits
  • Bananas
  • Tomatoes
  • Watercress
  • Green Leafy Vegetables
If you have kidney disease, avoid high consumption of potassium.

The Cause of Hypertension

Diagnosing, treating and controlling hypertension at an early stage can significantly reduce the risk of developing heart attacks, kidney failure or strokes.

Hypertension can be caused due to several factors. Some factors include:

  • hereditary or genetic tendencies,
  • environmental factors
  • unhealthy
  • eating habits,
  • stress,
  • smoking, and
  • lack of exercise.
Other factors that affect the blood pressure are :
  • salt content in the body,
  • volume of water in the body,
  • level of various hormones, and
  • obesity.

Types Of Hypertension

Primary hypertension is the most common condition, found in 95 per cent of the cases. It has no definite cause. There are several factors that may act in combination, causing the blood pressure to increase.

Secondary hypertension is found in five to ten per cent the cases. Here, the increase in blood pressure is caused by a specific defect in one of the organs in the body. Treating the affected organ can control or cure the hypertension.

Malignant hypertension is severe and can lead to damage of organs such as the heart, kidneys and the brain. Isolated systolic hypertension results from age related loss of elasticity of arteries, when the blood pressure is consistently above 160/91 mm Hg.

White coat hypertension is caused by anxiety and can be controlled by incorporating changes in lifestyle.

Resistant hypertension is a condition in which the blood pressure cannot be reduced below 140/90 mm Hg, despite medication.
